The 2024 Best of the Best Destination Photos – Honorable Mention

The Destination Photo Contest has long been a beloved tradition for the Junebug Weddings team. Conceived in 2014 by our Marketing Director Lexi Heimdal, this contest serves as a bridge between our annual engagement and wedding competitions– there are more relaxed submission rules and a unique focus on scenery. It’s a celebration of both love and the breathtaking destinations that frame it.

Then the pandemic struck. The world changed overnight, and with it, so did Junebug. Travel was halted, and weddings were canceled left and right–and unfortunately, so was our Destination Contest. Now, five years later Junebug’s Destination Photo Contest is finally back. Our three judges—Lilly Red, Ama by Aisha, and BreeAnna Lasher—infused their selections with the sense of wanderlust and romance that makes this contest so special. Together they helped us create a final collection we are incredibly proud of.

But now it’s time to celebrate the photos that came close to winning a spot in the final 50. Below are the 30 images that comprise our Honorable Mention collection, beautiful and memorable in their own right.
