It’s hard to believe this is our last Top Pics of the Month roundup for 2022. The end of the year is often a time for reflection–and our team is so proud of the memorable images we’ve shared this year. We’ve shared just under 300 top pics since January, to be exact! And each photo contributed to a year of diversity, creativity, and new ways to capture couples in love.
In 2022, we loved learning the stories behind standout top pics. We heard from a photographer who shot an elopement in not-so-ideal conditions due to smog from local wildfires. Another photographer shared just how quick you have to be in low temperatures–his creative iPhone reflection shot was taken within a two-minute window. Despite challenges, Photobug photographers will find a way to work their magic. And it truly has us so excited to see what you all create in the year ahead.

Incorporating Nostalgia
“I took this photo from Sarah’s (the bride) grandmother’s kitchen sink. The wedding day was incredibly sentimental and nostalgic because it happened at her grandmother’s home–the one she grew up visiting. When I took this photo, I thought about how many times Sarah had probably looked at that same view. I wanted to honor those moments by documenting her and Joshua framed in that same beautiful window.” – Marissa DeMott of Hazel Eyes Photography
