8 Amazing Engagement Photo Locations

We’ve rounded up the top eight engagement photo locations to pitch to your adventurous clients. Think we missed any? Let us know in the comments!

1. Yosemite National Park — California, United States

The Yosemite National Park is fit for engagement photos all year round for those nature-loving couples. This national park is packed with views that can be reached by all couples regardless of hiking experience. For couples with little to no hiking experience, recommend the Cook’s Meadow—a wide open field with Half Dome views and no hiking. If your clients are interested in adding a bit of adventure to the session, give them the option of hiking up to Taft Point.

2. Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve — Colorado, United States

Colorado is known for picturesque rocky mountain landscapes. But the Great Sand Dunes National Park isn’t your typical Colorado mountainscape. These sandy, rolling hills will throw you for a curve!

Located in southern Colorado you’ll find sand dunes that stretch as far as the eye can go. The soft neutral landscape makes for an ideal engagement photo backdrop—your couple will be the main focus without sacrificing epic views.

6. Banff National Park — Alberta, Canada

Towering mountains, grass-filled meadows, and glacier blue water—at Banff National Park you can have it all. Tell your clients about Peyto Lake, a glacier-fed lake surrounded by towering mountains. This prime photo location is accessible to anyone that’s able to make an uphill 10-minute hike up to the Peyto Lake Lookout. So no matter how outdoorsy your clients may be, this is a great option.

7. Milford Sound, New Zealand

In the Southern region of New Zealand you’ll be met with some of the most stunning natural cliffs and waterfalls that make the Milford Sounds the spot for your next engagement session. Give your clients the option of spending their session hiking to these incredible views or taking a water cruise—another way to add a unique, adventurous touch to any photo session.

8. The Dolomites — Italy

Italy is typically known for its old city architecture, colorful cliff sides, and gondola-filled canals. But that’s not the case when it comes to the Dolomites. Also known as the Italian Alps, the Dolomites are countryside villages, striking mountain ranges, and turquoise blue lakes.

Within the Dolomites region there are a variety of different locations you can recommend to your clients. For those that want an easy in-and-out hike, recommend the Pragser Wildsee—a romantic glacier lake surrounded by the towering mountains. For couples looking for those stunning mountain-top views, the 6-mile Tre Cime di Lavaredo hike is the way to go.
